PACKING FOR MY WINTER VACATION
Recently I went on a trip to Chicago, New York and Idaho. January is a cold month and the average temperature was 30 degrees brrrrrrrrr. Coming from Southern California I knew I was going to have to wear lots of layers to keep warm, or else I might turn into an ice sculpture!
This was my first winter vacation so I'm here to show you what I packed and some of the tricks I used to make sure I was able to take everything I wanted to bring.
*I always travel with only carry on items*
Clothes:
1 pair of jeans
1 pair of black pants
Long Johns
Moisture wicking long sleeve (loved this)
Down jacket... They are lightweight and perfect for keeping you warm
1 pair of pajamas
2 long sleeves for layering
Sweaters... Don't be afraid to rewear them!!
2 Scarves
1 beanie
2 Scarves
1 beanie
TIP: Pack your big sweaters in a bag and squish all the air out. This will make the sweaters compact and will take up less precious space in your luggage. *Watch my video below to see how I do this.
TIP: Always bring a bathing suit. You never know maybe you will find an indoor jacuzzi!
Accessories and extras:
A heating pad, I often get leg pains when I walk a lot
iPad
Cameras + chargers
Snacks
Toiletries
